Animal Sculpture WIP Project
These photos are in process shots of a multiple step sculpture. Students first picked an animal and received a reference photo. They then created the animal’s form out of paper and tape. The step in the image is creating a hard cover to paint with plaster strips. This project highlights my knowledge in both 3d and 2d.
Cubism Still Life Project
These are completed projects by high school IB classes. The project focused on drawing from life, abstraction, simplification, and shape. This project ties in learning about drawing from life, the art movement Cubism, and the element of art, shape.
Zen Tangle “noodle doodle” Project
These student examples are from the large final project, the “Zen Tangle”. The students worked their way up to this project by creating a series of smaller ‘noodle doodles’ that focused on one or more patterns. They then scaffolded their way up to this project with their own creative combinations of patterns. This was mostly a student driven project, where they had the resources to complete it without teacher step by step instruction. Thus allowing them creative control, as well as assessing their past knowledge learned.
