I am from Allen Park, Michigan and I am currently in my senior year at Adrian College. During my time at Adrian, I have been very active in the town's art community, participating in the town’s art fair, Art-a-Licious, and the First Fridays of downtown Adrian. Being an art teacher is a long time dream of mine, starting when I was in middle school, myself. I have been unwavering in my believe that I will be a teacher someday. I am a member of the Michigan Art Educators Association.

Mission Statement
As a teacher it is my job to create successful students that excel in both academic and personal growth. I will be encouraging them to see the world around them and be self aware of who they are. I will give them the tools and strategies not only to further their art skills, but also in developing time management, learn dedication and hard work, and foster positive thinking.
Art Teaching Philosophy
As a teacher in the k-12 it is my job to create students wanting to learn, and to instill good habits not only in their way of thinking academically but also in life. I want my classroom to be both novel and nurturing.
I want them to be a part of a unique experience that excite them and creates a love for art. There will be no negative attitudes in my classroom. Phrases like “I can’t do that” or “I would never be able to create that” will not exist in there. Every student is capable of learning and growing their talent. My classroom will have books and things available for them to try in the lulls of activity, they will always be productive. I will have a library of art history and art help books that will interest the students.
I will be helping students develop the groundwork so they can build and improve and giving them a foundation so that they can grow onward and outward. I will teach all types of media to give them the best range of techniques to lean back on with whatever path in life they decide. My projects will induce thought and self discovery, covering topics that will make the student think about the past, present, and future.
