Pictures of Art Club Painting Murals As the president of the art club at Adrian College, it was my job to lead the volunteer projects. One of which was to paint murals in two different Elementary School locations based on learning. The project was completed over two weeks, which included planning finding volunteers and painting the murals. |
Picture of After School Art Program ARK (Art Rocks Kids)
I am teaching a felting project to an after school art program at Adrian College in the picture depicted. I’ve participated in the program for three years, and in each one I’ve assisted teaching, and taught lessons. This program gave me good experience on working with a small group of students. |
Picture of Art-A-Licious Kids Throwing Wheel Tent
I’m working at Art-A-Licious, an art fairs Kids Throwing Tent. There was a nonstop line of children wanting to throw, or create, a vessel on a throwing wheel. For four hours I spent time volunteering to teach children about how to hold their hands to the clay and how to create the pottery plate. This work tested my stamina to constantly do a draining activity in cold weather conditions for a long period of time. It gave me time to talk to the community around Adrian College, and children would come up and say they remembered me from their art classrooms from my time observing them. |
